The Horse Whisperer
The Proposal:
Meet Gaynor Davenport the UK’s only true ‘Horse Whisperer’. That’s right, she’s not a behaviourist or some kind of animal psychologist she actually talks to the animals and they talk back. This series will follow her day-to-day life as she treats mainly horses but animals and even sometimes humans across a network of friends and associates.
To spice up the series we intend to throw her into situations out of her comfort zone to treat horses from a cross section of society, from RSPCA rescue horses to mounted Police’s riot horses. She’ll tell it to them straight and they will be blown away by her insights!
GAYNOR DAVENPORT
Gaynor Davenport’s job is unusual to say the least. Every day she travels across the country treating ill and distressed horses. Gaynor is the only Horse Whisperer in the country who makes a living through communicating with horses and her phone never stops ringing with requests for help from owners who are at the end of their tethers.
Unique skill
Some clients credit Gaynor’s unique skill to a psychic connection that she has with horses, others say she is just fantastically sensitive and skilled in reading horses body language, or that she’s picking up internal vibrations and interpreting them. Whatever it is she’s doing she truly has an amazing affinity with horses and a real gift for communicating with them.
Series style and content
In this observational documentary series we will take the viewer into Gaynor’s rather unorthodox world, following her on the road in her herbal mediicne and hay strewn car as she travels to meet quirky horses and their often equally quirky owners. We’ll uncover Gaynor’s exceptional and uncanny talent for understanding horses and ‘translating’ their problems to the owners, transforming the lives of all concerned in the process. As well as visiting individual horse owners, we’ll follow Gaynor on special call outs ranging from treating a recently rescued horse at an RSPCA centre, to communicating with a world class, highly prized racing horse.

Case Study
The Problem: A horse called Sam appears to be distressed when taken out for rides, much to the concern of his baffled owner.
The Diagnosis: After just a few minutes in Gaynor’s presence the horse has visibly relaxed. Gaynor listens to the horse and tells the owner that the problem is in Sam’s shoulder.
5 minutes later there is an almighty cracking sound – Sam has become so relaxed he has cracked his shoulder back into the correct position.
Sam also takes the opportunity to tell Gaynor that he misses a certain horse treat that has recently been taken off the menu.
The Solution: Now that the owner realizes there is a weakness in Sam’s shoulder extra care will be taken when riding him and some physiotherapy will be administered. She also promises to stock up on horse treats. The whole process is a revelation to the owner and a huge relief.
BIOGRAPHY
Gaynor discovered her extraordinary talent at a very young age. When she was just 4 years old she visited a horse called Dolly. Gaynor discovered that through touching Dolly she could pick up vibrations and ‘hear’ the horse’s thoughts. As she grew up Gaynor developed her extraordinary horse whispering talents. In 1996 she featured in a Mail on Sunday article following the successful diagnosis and treatment of a famous racehorse and a horse on the Atlanta Olympic team. Ever since that time Gaynor’s phone has not stopped ringing; horse owners across the country are clambering for her mysterious horse whispering talents!
Today Gaynor juggles her time between diagnosing and treating horses and running her own company ‘Himalayan Herbal’, producing and selling herbal products and feed supplements for horses.
